Kansas Milk Production Down 1%

Milk production in Kansas during June 2024 totaled 338 million pounds, down 1% from June 2023, according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service. The average number of milk cows was 173,000 head, 2,000 head less than June 2023. Milk production per cow averaged 1,955 pounds.
