McPherson's Sales Tax Revenue Holds Steady in July, but Year-to-Date Figures Show a Slight Dip

The City of McPherson received $307,384.21 in sales tax distributions from the state in July 2024, reflecting a slight increase from the $304,895.55 received in July 2023. This month-over-month growth, however, does not fully counterbalance the year-to-date decline in sales tax revenue.

From January 2024 to July 2024, McPherson received $2,062,940.75 in sales tax distributions, which is slightly lower than the $2,081,907.62 received during the same period in 2023. This represents a decrease of approximately 0.9% year-over-year.

In comparison, Salina also experienced a slight decrease in year-to-date sales tax distributions. Salina received $9,606,909.18 from January 2024 to July 2024, a marginal drop from $9,620,980.95 during the same period in 2023.
